About this Event
Japanese Woodcut printmaking - (Mokuhanga)
Join us for a hands-on experience at GRUB! Immerse yourself in the ancient art of Japanese Woodcut printmaking and create your own prints
.
We're again collaborating with local artist and printmaker Rachel Evans from Little Lion Studios. She will guide you through the process through designing your very own woodcut print, intricately carving them into a high quality wood block and then using ink and all the traditional Japanese woodprint materials to print them onto Washi Paper.
We will bring along a selection of seasonal and Christmas inspired references for you to draw inspiration from. Rachel will guide you on how you can make it your own instead of copying another Artists work.
This workshop will be located at GRUB, a great foodhall and eventspace in Manchester City Centre. Food &.Drink will be available to purchase before and during the workshop. The Workshop will take place in their private dining room.
