Japanese Kakedama Workshop Thursday 28th November at 6.30pm
£35 per person
We pleased to offer a new workshop with Tranquil Plants who specialise in Japanese Kokedama.
These are plants and bonsai wrapped in living green moss or coco fibre that are both easy to look after, good for the environment around them and look fantastic too.
Tranquil Plants have exhibited at the Chelsea flower show, and have been involved with Hyper Japan and sold at various Japanese inspired markets throughout England.
During the workshop we usually begin by covering the beautiful Japanese art form called Kokedama, a traditional way of maintaining plants and trees in living plant holders, this has ties to bonsai as well as the idea of wabi sabi with each plant being a unique, living thing that will change as it grows. We also look at the fresh air purification of our plants as well as any helpful hints and tips to look after plants around the house. Participants will then be given the chance to make their own kokedama plant which they can take home at the end of the session.
The workshop will be 2 hours, all materials and refreshments will be provided.
