About this Event

A FAMILY SOMEN SHOKUJI MENU: "This class is in memory of our mom who taught us how to cook and the joy of home cooking!"

  • Chicken and ajitama cold noodle specialty bowl + light dressing
  • Fresh & yummy traditional Wakayama veggie nimono w/ koyadofu
  • Tsukemono Japanese pickles w/ myoga (baby ginger buds)

Cooks' Bios: Kimiko Suzuki is a multi-talented Vancouver cooking instructor and specialty moss artist; she has taught cooking classes for UBC Farm, Nourish, and Cook Culture, as well as many wonderful classes for us at Japanese Canadian Heritage Cooking class program; her sister, Ikuko, lives in Japan and is visiting Vancouver on holiday—the two sisters both have three sons and spend a lot of kitchen time talking about food and enjoying cooking together!
