MOENO'S MINI MOCHI-MOCHI* MENU:
- Easy mochiko (rice flour) batter making (vegan, gf, dairy & egg free)
- Baking matcha and azuki bean versions/combinations
- Interesting alternate snacks you can make using baked mochi ingred.
- Ways to present and serve mochi creations for parties & guests
- Great plate accompaniments that go with a mochi-mochies
- Seasonal fruit & Japanese green tea
*mochi-mochi is a cupcake style of baked mochi
Cooks Bio:
Moeno Kawai is a multi-media maker and former bake shop owner, raised in Vancouver and born in Yokohama, Japan. Growing up in the restaurant industry from an early age with small business owner parents, she has a passion for sharing the joys of casual Japanese food and domestic crafts that emphasize the delight found in daily life.
Since closing her shop in 2021, she hopes to share the recipes for people to enjoy and share with friends, as served at Usagi Sweets and Basho Cafe, since 2014.
