In the West Gallery, Taylor Apostol and Evan Morse -- partners in the studio, and in life -- team up for Here and Gone, an exhibition featuring both of their clay, plaster, marble, and stone works. Expect scenes of a tense voting line, a cat holding a pigeon, and a couple's night in on the couch, and more.
In the East Gallery, Artist Shoeboxes act as mini-solo shows. This year, they feature four artists: Matthew Burgos, Ashley MacLure, Nina Medard, and Susan Swinand. An homage to trees, mixed media assemblages unpacking the effects of gun violence, intricate cartoon-like graphite drawings exploring individuality and perception, and humorous mixed media works about the self and humanity.
This event is free and open to the public. A cash bar will be available at the event. These exhibitions will be on view during gallery hours from January 21 - March 1, Wednesdays through Sundays, each day from 12pm - 5 pm. Gallery hours are free, and open to all.
In case of inclement weather, the January Reception will be held the following week, on Friday, January 30, from 6-9 PM. Please see www.artsworcester.org for updates.
