About this Event
The 18th annual January Jam hosted by Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers is back and better than ever!
The weekend kicks off Thursday afternoon at JJ's Cantina and continues into the night with Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers and Agua de Coco on the patio stage where it all began following the recording of Turbo Ocho. The RCPM shows all weekend will be no repeat-ish with a special treat Sunday afternoon. Curious? Read on! Will Call at JJ's starts at 4:30pm, wristbands required beginning at 5pm. JJ's will be open all day but wristbands are required beginning at 5pm. Some extra seating will be added.
Friday features shows all over town including Leo's, Grapes & Barley, Diego's, Banditos and JJ's - check the schedule at www.januaryjam.net and get out to some of our favorite cantinas around town. Will Call starts back up at Banditos beginning at 1:00pm until 3:00. The first ever billed performance by Gold'n Delicious featuring PH Naffah, Stephen Ashbrook and Nic Sterling starts at 1pm inside Banditos. Will Call starts back up at 5pm when doors open at Banditos for a full night of music under the stars.
The annual Cancion Tequila Golf Tournament tees off at exactly 9am with a 13 hole shotgun start format. Go to the ticket link to secure your spot - if you want to play with 1 or more other players, email requests to [email protected] . The tournament sells out every year so don't delay and sign up! All proceeds stay in Penasco to help family-oriented non-profits. Registration includes golf, lunch, an embroidered hat, cart and prizes. Players are encouraged to dress creatively... Bill Murray characters are a good place to start. Note: The golf course is back to being in beautiful condition following some water challenges last year.
Make sure to stop by and check out Lisa's Shake, Raffle and Roll Raffle benefiting local non-profits Thursday and Friday at the shows. She'll pick the winners Saturday and will notify winners how to pick up their treasures before heading home. Raffle items will include one of a kind fan produced art, tickets, golf experiences, signed bottles of Cancion and the opportunity to introduce RCPM Saturday night to a packed house among others!
Music will continue into the night. Doors and Will Call at Banditos will open again at 5pm. There will be a special section in the sand for those who want to bring their own beach chairs to spread out and have more space both Friday and Saturday nights at Banditos.
Sunday will truly be a Funday - soak up NFL playoff games and live music all day long at JJ's Cantina and finish up the evening at Banditos. RCPM will play Turbo Ocho in its entirety for the first time on the same stage at JJ's since 2008! They will finish the set dog pile-style with covers, collaborations and who knows what else!
Wristbands will be required for select daytime shows at certain venues.
A limited number of VIP tickets are on sale and include general admission to all shows Thursday - Sunday as well as access to the VIP pavilion and stage front areas at Banditos Friday and Saturday nights. VIP will also have their own restrooms and bar access those nights.
Single day tickets for Thursday and Sunday will be limited to provide a comfortable, but full crowd at JJ's Cantina. Both days are expected to sell out.
Shows are all ages but people under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. People under 14 years old are free. Those14-24 are eligible to purchase a discounted Student ticket by providing ID at Will Call. Attendees must be at least 18 years old to drink.
