What to Expect
Curated by our resident film nerds: Each month brings a carefully selected gem from the world of cinema's hidden corners. Think surrealist masterpieces, haunting silent films with live musical accompaniment, and underground treasures that challenge perspectives and expand minds.
The evening unfolds as more than just a screening. Arrive early for pre-film discussions where our curators share insights and context. After the credits roll, dive deeper into post-screening conversations that explore themes, techniques, and the lasting impact of these remarkable works.
Of course, no proper film night is complete without snacks and sips to fuel the experience and discussions.

January Screening: The Passion of Joan of Arc
Join us on Friday January 23rd forAND Creative Film Club, featuring Carl Theodor Dreyer's 1928 The Passion of Joan of Arc, with live musical accompaniment by Adrian Bond. This beautiful and deeply moving classic of the silent age is an adaptation of the transcript of the trial of Joan of Arc. Dreyer's unconventional use of facial closeup and radical rewriting of film grammar, and Renée Jeanne Falconetti's heartbreakingly unguarded performance as Joan make this one of the most exceptional experiences of the silent era, and movies in general.
Live musical accompaniment by Adrian Bond and additional videographic atmospherics by Joseph Karr. Gallery quality posters by Joseph Karr available at the event, with proceeds benefiting AND Creative.
