"The Church of the Very Last Chance" is David Holper’s satirical commentary on our materialistic global society and the collective madness we endure at its hands. Blending political satire, magic, myth, and metafiction, the novel takes us on a spiritual journey with former travel blogger Ekaterina Vilakashopka who finds herself in the uncomfortable position of leading a worldwide spiritual movement while simultaneously struggling with her own faith--and further complicated by the leaders of the status quo, who seem intent on either capturing her or killing her. A book for our era: both a comic sendup of the fools running the show and a roadmap for a radically different way forward.
