January 2026 Magic Theatre Poetry Reading

After the big festival vibes of Magic Theatre @ Gaia Beats, we'll be back on the last Thursday of January for our cozy monthly Magic at Kindred. Join us January 29th for a night of poetry, spoken word, music, and an open mic!

WHAT: Featured readers followed by an open mic!

There will be a sign-up list for the Open Mic at the event, but if you'd like to reserve a spot beforehand, we'll be making a post you can comment on to reserve your spot. We've been filling up, so signing up early is encouraged!
Depending on how many people attend, each slot will be 5-7 minutes long. Please factor in any introduction as part of your mic time. You can field comments after your set, should you so choose.
You can read your own work, or someone else’s, as long as you credit the author. And if your subject is potentially offensive or triggering, please respect the audience by giving a warning in advance.
