Jane Jacobs was a writer and advocate who championed pedestrian life and the variety found in cities. Each year communities celebrate her birthday with organized "walks" the first weekend in May. Join us for a fun and informative walk on the Stevens Point South Side near the historic train depot. We'll discuss the history of this part of town and the challenges people face navigating road traffic. The tour will conclude with discussion of opportunities for citizen involvement in making our community more friendly to non motorized transportation.
