To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the classic bestselling series, Fancy Nancy dazzles readers in a brand-new picture book.
Besties for eternity—that’s fancy for forever and ever!
For Nancy, a long weekend means fun, fun, and more fun with her best friend, Bree. But, alas! Bree will be away visiting cousins, leaving Nancy forlorn—that’s a fancy way of saying sad and lonely.
Then at the park, Nancy meets Lily, who is older, fearless and—ooh la la! — from Paris! Nancy can hardly believe such a glamorous girl wants to be friends. They spend the weekend together and everything seems parfait (French for perfect) . . . at least until Bree returns. What will Nancy do?! Will she have room in her heart for two true friends?
Jane O’Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser created the irrepressible Fancy Nancy character twenty years ago. Now—after bestselling books, a TV series, and two decades of magnifique tea parties—they're adding a new classic about the true meaning of friendship to bookshelves everywhere.
Jane O’Connor was born and raised in the fabulous metropolis of New York City. That’s where she still lives with her husband, Jim, although both their grown sons did something unfathomable (that means impossible to understand). They moved to the West Coast! Besides writing the Fancy Nancy series and other books for children, Jane spent her whole career as an editor at major publishing houses. Recently retired, she finds herself with something she never had before—free time to do whatever she pleases.
Robin Preiss Glasser has illustrated many acclaimed picture books, including the bestselling Fancy Nancy series, Lambslide, Escape Goat, and Grand Jeté and Me: A Christmas Holiday Book for Kids. She won the Children’s Choice Award for Best Illustrator of the Year for Fancy Nancy and the Mermaid Ballet. Robin actually wore tiaras and tutus when she danced with the Pennsylvania Ballet. Now she happily spends her days in jeans, drawing. Robin and her family live in Southern California.
