About this Event
Life with a disability can be full of ups and downs. Marie Grant's imaginary friend Mr. Whoo helps her deal with bullying and encourages her to find friends who accept her just as she is. Marie's sister Nicole adds a zesty personality to this story based on real-life adventures.
Jan Flint's Adventures of Mr. Whoo and Friends book series intends to add representation of children with disabilities to children's literature. Flint believes all children should be included and accepted for who they are, allowing them to flourish. The Mr. Whoo book series shares her oldest daughter's unique view of life with a disability and the imaginary friend she conjured up as a coping mechanism during her egocentric time of life. Flint's youngest daughter's hilarious antics add zesty color to the fun adventures throughout the book series.
