Welcome to the JAM SESSION with ephemera @ Paapu House!
We have decided to go back to basics and drop the open mic part;
We will perform as ephemera and have musicians join us for a JAM!
For this edition we will be joined by a special guest: the phenomenal singer Maida Gayle!
We will JAM from 20.30 to 23.00 with a short break somewhere in the middle.
There may be some danceable grooves, catchy rhythms, soulful waves, psychedelic vibrations, funky riffs, ethereal soundscapes to dream away to, and above all: pure improvisation - let's see what happens!
We are inviting musicians to bring their instruments, whether it's percussion, guitar, voice, string or wind instruments, ... : feel free to take part!
We have 1 RULE: NO covers or original songs, ONLY pure improvisational jamming!
The available equipment: 3 mics, 1 guitar amp, 1 bass amp, some percussion instruments and a full drumset.
Come relax and/or move your body and join us on a journey of musical discovery!
ephemera is a 3 piece band consisting of didgeridoo, percussion and guitar+vocals, often accompanied by musical friends.
Their music focuses on the process of spontaneous creation in the moment, without prior rehearsal, relying on intuition, creativity, and musical language to interact with each other and create something new and unique each time they play. The goal is to engage with the present moment, the environment, and other collaborators in a dynamic and fluid way, evoking a deep sense of freedom, impermanence and fragility.
