For over two decades, Jamie Bernstein has been crafting songs, poetry, and music, and sharing his talents on stage and screen. Hailing from the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia—ground zero for Old-Timey music and legendary bluegrass artists—Jamie’s roots run deep in storytelling traditions. Since 1996, he’s called New Orleans home.You might recognize Jamie from TV and film; he’s appeared in Preacher, Treme, American Horror Story, Scream Queens, Roots, Old Boy, Paperboy, and Dark Circles. In 2007, Jamie officially dove into the music business, producing “People Get Ready” for James “12” Andrews.
These days, you can catch him performing with the Yakameiniacs, alongside Dave Easley and Adrian Eggleston, or teaming up with the Future Cowboys for songwriting and live shows. Jamie also keeps the airwaves lively as the host of The Offer Hour on WHIV 102.3FM, streaming at whivfm.org.
