James McNaughton is a professor of English at the University of Alabama and the author of Samuel Beckett and the Politics of Aftermath. His nonfiction essays have appeared in Guernica, Longreads, Southern Cultures, and elsewhere.

Mary O’Donoghue is a professor of English at Babson College, Mass. and Senior Fiction Editor at AGNI. Her short fiction has appeared in Subtropics, Kenyon Review, Granta, The Common, Georgia Review, and elsewhere.
