English rock band James will be taking over Colchester Castle Park on Friday 22nd August 2025 with special guests Happy Mondays, Lightning Seeds and The Weave.After forming in Manchester in 1982, the band achieved popularity during the 1990s, with four top-10 hits on the UK Singles Chart and nine top-10 placings on the UK Albums Chart, including best-known singles “Come Home”, “Sit Down”, “She’s a Star” and “Laid”. Their latest album “Yummy” charted at number one earlier this year.
Next summer, the historic Colchester Castle Park will be the setting for a huge, new series of open-air concerts, The Colchester Castle Summer Series. Set against the stunning backdrop of Lower Castle Park, this exciting event will showcase some of the UK’s most celebrated artists and bands.
