About this Event
James Corbin is a combat veteran, storyteller, and prolific songwriter. He released four albums "Dichotomy," “Dahlonega Days,” and “Live From the Hoag Auditorium” while in college. Shortly after 9/11 and graduation, he went into the U.S. Army as where he deployed to Iraq three times. Those combat tours were the impetus behind his record, "From Baghdad to Bisbee" which comprised songs he wrote while there. James’ new record, “Where the Roots Raise the Road” will be released in conjunction with his show at Canopy + the Roots on May 27th, 2024. Accompanying James on stage will be the incredibly talented musician, songwriter, and producer Stuart Oliver. Originally from Dahlonega, Stuart now resides in Tucson, Arizona where he writes, produces, performs, and teaches music professionally.
“James is a captivating performer. He is a master at engaging a crowd and drawing them in. His songs move you to tears. They also make you laugh hysterically. Most importantly, they always make you feel more human and understood. A live show with James is a true experience into the mind, heart, and humor of a truly gifted storyteller.” Molly Kummerle, critically acclaimed DJ, vocalist, and jazz artist.
Doors open at 6:00pm, show begins at 6:30pm.
