Come gather in the historic Loring Greenoug House for shorts and Q&As. The LGH has partnered with I9 - Imag9ne Media - to bring you a locally and globally focused series of films and shorts.
Saturday Matinee Schedule:
- The Lowell Life (trailer) Set and shot in Lowell, MA, the series follows aspiring photographer Lou on a high-stakes journey to save his big break at New York Fashion Week—joined by his drug-dealing best friend Vic—while celebrating the city’s resilience, with a post-screening Q&A featuring director David Wanderi. (30min)
- Cigs & Gigs (trailer) Screening of Cigs N Gigs: Welcome to the Roaring 2020s! An ambitious but gullible young man’s escape from a corrupt news organization tempts him into a virtual world where he fabricates his own story. Created, directed, and starred by Hunter Berube. (21min)
- Transference (trailer) Explores and is about the dark consequences of social isolation and unrequited love as Marcel, an insecure loner indulging in red-pill content gets rejected by his crush. He seeks solace in a virtual reality world where he creates an AI version of her called EVA. As Marcel's obsession grows, the lines between reality and the virtual realm blur, leading to a disturbing confrontation and a revelation about the nature of control, loneliness, human nature and consciousness. EVA becomes increasingly more sentient & takes advantage of his weaknesses. (20min)
