About this Event
April is Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM) and April 30th is International Jazz Day. Jazz is a combination of African, Caribbean, and European Music. It is truly an expression of our culture.
Jazz, originated in New Orleans, is an enduring art form with its’ origins spanning from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Because of its characteristic improvisation and spirit, it continues to give rise to collaborations, conversations, and community building.
Jazz today is a diverse genre that includes sacred music; its very nature is to nourish the soul, inspire worship, lift up praise and aid in helping people to connect with the divine.
Messiah Lutheran Church’s Social Justice and Community Outreach Committee invites you to the 2025 Mor’n JAM/JAM Worship Service. Come experience our traditional worship service and renowned south Central Pa jazz instrumentals.
