Gus Miller Band
Gus Miller is a rising star in the American Roots music scene, hailing from the live music capital of the world, Austin, Texas. Gus Miller Band's unique style is rooted in the Outlaw Hippie Country vibe, drawing influences from the Cosmic Country sounds of the early 70's.
Based out of Austin, Texas, the proclaimed "live music capitol of the world," Gus Miller is making a name for himself in the Alternative Country scene. His unique style, "a laid back Outlaw Hippie Country vibe, rooted in place and attitude" as described by LA On Lock, draws influence from the Cosmic Country sounds of the early 70's (Gram Parsons, Willie Nelson, Jerry Jeff Walker). "[His style] really flows in the flavour of some tight vintage outlaw country," Independent Music Review wrote, while a recent interview with Music Mecca praises Gus' music as "reminiscent of country classics from eras of the past".
At 30years young, Miller has had the opportunity to share bills with big names like Ray Wylie Hubbard, The Wood Brothers, Jason Boland and many more. Some of his accolades include being a winning finalist in the Kerrville Folk Festival's university song writing competition and being named "Artist of the Month' by Austin Music Foundation, both of which he achieved while earning his degree at The University of Texas in Austin.
Miller's debut EP, released in November 2020, has been well-received by fans and critics alike. With a full-length record on the horizon, recording set to begin June of 2023, it's clear that Gus Miller Band is poised for big things in the years to come.
With a sound that's both authentic and timeless, Gus Miller Band is quickly making a name for themselves as one of the most promising acts in the American Roots music scene. Ruby Dice
Originally from the Rocky Mountain state of Colorado, Ruby Dice has been steadily gaining attention for her electrifying performances across Texas and the Southwest. Her first introduction to music came from playing Gospel music in her family church, Ruby’s style has since evolved to incorporate elements of soul, blues and pop music. Gaining recognition for both her talent as a bassist, but also also a blossoming songwriter, Since living in Austin Ruby has played with dozens of bands of all different styles. The young musician has toured all over the country and has had opportunities to meet and play stages with greats like Brian Wilson, Dale Watson, and many more.
Ruby is consistently creating new music that blends multiple genres into an electrifying show that is a must see for any dancing music lover. Now based in Austin, TX, Ruby is quickly gaining the attention of various local media outlets. In The Pocket Magazine writes: "Based out of Austin, Ruby Dice band is a combination of two songwriters Ruby and Calloway Ritch. Together they create a mix of soul and rock n' roll that fits just fine here in the heart of Texas. Dice's soulful vocals and Ritch's articulate but bluesy guitar make for a sparse, powerful combo.
