An evening that remembers Ghalib not as a historical figure, but as a living voice; one that speaks through memory, loss, love, and the quiet questions we still ask ourselves.Food Included
On the Birth Anniversary of Mirza Ghalib, Ghalib, Ghazal, Ghiza aur Maazi invites audiences into an evening of remembrance; where poetry, music, and memory come together to revisit one of South Asia’s most enduring literary voices.
Rather than approaching Ghalib as a distant historical figure, this experience remembers him as a living presence; someone whose words continue to echo through love, loss, longing, faith, doubt, and the fragile act of remembering itself.
Set in the intimate and reflective space of Project Otenga, the evening unfolds as a slow, thoughtful journey through Ghalib’s world, his city, his time, and the emotional landscapes he inhabited, brought alive through narration and ghazal.
Ghalib’s poetry is deeply rooted in Yaad -remembrance not just of people and love, but of cities, eras, belief systems, and the self. His verses often sit at the intersection of:
• Ishq and firaaq
• Faith and skepticism
• Loss and quiet resilience
• Personal memory and collective history
This experience explores how the ghazal becomes a vessel for memory; fragmented yet complete, personal yet universal.
