Jacobsen Hive Program Presents: Spring Beekeeping
Come join us for an exciting hands-on experience at Zidell Yards! Our spring beekeeping field event is perfect for beginners and novice beekeepers alike. Learn all about honey bees, stewardship based beekeeping practices, hive maintenance, and the wonders of life inside the hive! Get up close and personal with our buzzing friends as we explore the ins and outs of spring beekeeping. This educational event features a special guest speaker Mandy Shaw of Bella Beek as well as an optional light sandwich lunch from Olympia Provisions.
This educational event will be held entirely outdoors in our SW riverfront apiary at Zidell Yards. Please dress in comfortable clothing that is suitable for outdoor work. Long sleeves and pants are recommended. If you have your own protective beekeeping attire please bring this with you. A limited supply of equipment will be made available such as gloves and veils.
