About this Event
Join us for the Jacksonville State of the Food Plan Kick-Off
Date: Tuesday, January 20,2026
Time: 4:00–5:00 PM
Location: UF/IFAS Extension Duval County
The City of Jacksonville is developing a comprehensive Food Plan to strengthen and support our local food system. This kick-off event marks the beginning of a citywide planning process that will help shape how food is grown, processed, distributed, accessed, consumed, and recovered as Jacksonville continues to grow.
During this kick-off, we will:
- Share early findings and emerging themes from the State of the Food Plan
- Outline the Food Plan process and timeline
- Highlight upcoming community engagement opportunities, including workgroup sessions and public pop-up meetings
This effort builds on years of community-driven planning, data collection, and partnership across city departments, agricultural leaders, food system stakeholders, and residents.
The Food Plan will serve as a guiding framework to align policies, programs, and investments that support a resilient, equitable, and sustainable food system for Jacksonville.
We look forward to your participation as we launch this important initiative together.
