Jack's House of Haiku

We are having a HaikuPalozza at Jack's House featuring Haikus from Jack's Book of Haikus and those from our esteemed friends. with special Haiku pastries from Chef Shelley. A ten dollar cover charge should get you covered with our usual. Cohost Tim Huff will give a talk about the history of traditional haiku he will also discuss Jack's intense relationship with haiku as well as reading a selection of twelve of hi haikus. We will then open the mic to anyone who wants to read their own haiku or their favorite haiku.

Tim’s Bio: Timothy Huff, a Binghamton, New York transplant, is a lover of nature and sunshine - which brought him to our beautiful 'Burg some 30+ years ago. He lives his Florida dream with husband Randy and his dog, Toby.
A custom window treatment designer by profession, the Covid crisis brought out his inner poet, sharing Haikus with online friends. Tim joyfully shares collected observations of the life he loves with you….Tim has 2 published books of haiku poetry. His first book “The View From My Deck, Haikus Inspired By Nature” came out in 2020. After having much success with his first book, he came out with his second book of haikus “Another View From My Deck, Haikus Inspired By Nature” in 2024.
Tim gives talks and workshops around the Tampa Bay area.
