Detroit rappers Demko and Lex the Radical take over Jabs Gym at 1150 Hilton rd. in Ferndale, MI on May 18th at 7pm for the first annual Jabs Gym Summer Jam!
What's our story? We're three friends from high school who used to rap together. Now 2 of us rap and 1 of us does the paperwork. We know the new wave is coming and we want to start a movement of new artists in Detroit... this event is step one. We believe that it's our turn to contribute and give Detroit a different kind of music experience that can grow with us. Not just a gig in a music venue that you've been to before, but an immersive Hip-Hop show hosted in a real boxing gym owned by a professional boxer from Detroit. With summer around the corner, we have invited some of the hottest rising fashion brands in Detroit to sell their new styles before the season begins. Derek Demko, Alex Allen, and Michael Reiber are hosting the Jabs Gym Summer Jam, and by buying a ticket you will be one of the first to invest in new movement and wave of rappers from the 313 who are going to run the scene in the city for years to come.
Jabs Gym Summer Jam will unite 2 rising rappers from Detroit under one roof, feature some of the city's most in-demand clothing brands right before summer, include an opening dance performance by University of Michigan's Hip-Hop Dance Team and a DJ set by Adidos Chuck, Demko's hand-picked DJ.
