Flight, choreographed by Sarah Schiffhauer, reflects the journey of finding personal independence while staying connected within a community. It explores the balance between individuality and connection.
Ya Coming, choreographed by Helen Jardon, is a balletic neoclassical piece heavily influenced by voguing and waacking set to electronic house music.
Ripples, choreographed by Kayla Madsen, is heavily inspired by two instrumental piano pieces. These compositions feature many cannons and accents that informed the choreography. Similarly, I wanted to explore the concept that our actions affect those around us, causing ripple effects. Thank you to the dancers who brought my piece to life!
Dusting Off, was co-created by NWA Ballet Theatre company dancer, Hannah Mucha, and The Vibe Co. dancer Hai Lam Huynh. This piece was inspired by the creative process of our collaboration, as well as our friendship. Drawing from conversations after long work days, moving together through late hours of the night, and bouncing creative ideas off one another, this piece was a welcome excuse to spend time together imagining.
Seated in the Corner Chair, a film produced and directed by Hannah Mucha, is about striving to fit into familiar spaces vs. venturing into unrealized, potential spaces.
