A Leadership JourneyThis presentation will focus on how our life journeys shape and affect us as leaders. It will explore how the mental model we hold as women leaders can move us forward or hold us back. Most importantly, it will stress the importance of discovering and honoring your leadership superpower and using it to shape your leadership journey.
About our speaker: Dr. Victoria (Vicki) Davis

In her current role as Deputy Director, Office of Operational Excellence, Vicki leads a team of professionals who provide coaching, facilitation, and training support to State of Illinois Agencies as they pursue efforts to improve operational effectiveness and achieve excellence in public service. In addition, she is the program manager for the Governor’s Office Academy of Leadership (G.O.A.L.), a multi-agency leadership development program for mid-level managers across the State.
Vicki has more than 40 years as an organizational development and learning professional, focusing on organizational excellence and problem solving, leadership development, strategic thinking, and team development. Prior to working with the state, Dr. Davis served as a professor in the Human and Organizational Development Department at Vanderbilt University for almost 20 years, teaching courses in Organizational Problem-Solving, Leadership, Cross-Cultural Leadership, Leadership and Change in International Organizations, and Understanding Organizations, among others. She was also the Director of the Department’s Capstone Internship program and served on several College and University Committees, including the College Curriculum and Diversity Committees, and the University Design Thinking & Creativity Committee, and Immersive Learning Committee. In addition, Vicki spent 33 years in the Illinois Air National Guard as an Intelligence Officer, but also served 7 years as Director of Curriculum for the Air National Guard’s Officer Commissioning School in Knoxville, Tennessee. She retired as the Commander of the Intelligence function.
Vicki holds a Doctorate of Education and Masters of Education in Human Resource Development (Organizational Learning) from Vanderbilt University, a Master’s in Strategic Studies from the Air University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Management from the University of Illinois Springfield. She was also re-elected to serve a 6 year term as Trustee on the Lincoln Land Community College Board of Trust.

Our luncheons are open to all IWIL members and their guests. Registration is $25 for members and guests through November 14; $30 on or after November 15. Registration will close on November 17.
