We’re excited to host the one and only Ivy Lab (UK) at The Mothership in Tamaki Makaurau, on Saturday the 12th of April.
Ivy Lab is the collaborative project of Sabre & Stray, known for experimental fusion of UK bass, halftime, and hip-hop, blending influences from both Los Angeles and London.
They launched their own label, 20/20 LDN, to promote this unique Ivy Lab sound. Their debut album Death Don't Always Taste Good (2018) and hit single "Cake" established them in the scene. The 2019 festival hit "Orange," a collaboration with Two Fingers, further boosted their profile.
By 2020, Ivy Lab began exploring more minimalistic sounds with a series of EPs (Fidget, Teacup, and Blonde). Their 2021 EP, Everythingmustchange, solidified their commitment to under-produced, minimal bass music.
