Hi all, please see below the details for this years, Its Going To Get Hairy Summer March.

Where: Weymouth to Swanage (32miles - 51km) – Plus a few extra miles in the event of any route diversions on the day.

The Walk itself: "It's Going to Get Hairy" Summer March - In aid of Rock to Recovery and The Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team LMRT.

It's that time of year again. Drop your worries, concerns, egos, and anxieties, push harder than you ever thought possible, and hit the most challenging terrain the South Coast has to offer. Join us on our FREE walk and talk summer event. Weymouth - Swanage.

Not only taking on the full March for Movember route, (which is 21 miles), but completing this after tackling the famous SF Rollercoaster.

Remember, this is not a RACE; this is for all level of participants that have a desire to test their Personal limits and learn that asking for help when needed is just part of everyday life.

This is a self-supported event, but do expect to meet some local athletes, some incredible local brands and prepare to be blown away at the bonds built through sharing the hardship the MARCH will bring with your comrades.

This walk will be challenging in places due to the nature of the terrain and hills, but it will suit most people who exercise regularly without injury or medical restrictions and have some walking experience on uneven ground. This walk will be very demanding in places, and you will be out for some time, so the basics will be required, Hiking Boots/Shoes, Waterproofs etc (you will be sent a kit list guide for the event in an email upon booking)

No technical skill or equipment is required for this event.

This walk is a great opportunity to raise money for your chosen charity; you will have the option to purchase event medals, t-shirts, hats etc. (please see our other events links to purchase a Coach Seat if required)

Logistics:

Meet in Lodmoor Car Park, Weymouth. No later than 07:45 prepared and ready for the walk.

Coaches/Transport: Optional transport is available to make getting there easier.

We have three options available.

Option 1: Return Coach from E-Motion Gym in Poole to the start location in Weymouth, a great location with the option for pre ordered breakfast and a morning coffee. Handy if you live in Poole. Coach leaves at 06:30 with return coaches back to Poole leaving Swanage (Outside East Bar) at 21:30 and 22:30

Option 2: One Way from Main Beach car park in Swanage to the start location in Weymouth, Swanage being our finish location, your car will be in the carpark when you finish, ready for your drive home. Coach leaves at 06:45

Option 3: One Way from Swanage (Outside East Bar) at the finish, back to Weymouth, leaving at 22:00. Perfect for those driving to the start, or for those wanting to stay the night in Weymouth.

Additional Information: As always there will be additional benefits including discount codes from supporting brands, including outdoor clothing, nutrition etc that you will be updated on via our Instagram page and WhatsApp Group on the build-up to the event.

•Fitness Wise: this walk suits most people who exercise regularly without injury or Medical Restriction.

•18+ unless accompanied by an adult.

•Well behaved dogs are welcome on the walk.
