(Scroll down for the English version of this text)Naast de cursussen voor het Cursushuis en de voorstellingen in de LocHal organiseert IT’s – Improschool Tilburg ook losse workshops in improvisatietheater. Dit keer gaan we gaan we aan de slag met verschillende talen!

Yes, tu tambien can spelen avec languages! Met deze workshop gaan we kijken hoe we scènes kunnen improviseren als we niet onze moedertaal mogen gebruiken. We gaan zien wat het op kan leveren als je niet het gemak van de taal hebt in een scène, om zo tot nieuwe inzichten te komen. Speel bijvoorbeeld een scène in het Frans terwijl je maar 3 woorden Frans kan! Je zal zien dat het, naast hilariteit, ook andere dingen voor je zal opleveren. En het is een geweldige manier om weer eens uit je comfortzone te stappen en nieuwe mensen te leren kennen!

De workshop vindt plaats op zondag 8 oktober van 14.00-16.00 uur in workshopruimtes 0.2+0.3 op de begane grond van de Bibliotheek LocHal. Er is plaats voor 16 deelnemers. Weet je al dat je wilt deelnemen? Stuur een mail naar [email protected] onder vermelding van de workshopnaam (Spelen met taal). Deelname aan de workshop is €12,50 (ter plekke te voldoen middels een Tikkie). De workshop is geschikt voor alle niveaus, en deze specifieke workshop is geschikt voor alle nationaliteiten. Je kunt ook last-minute beslissen en gewoon op komen dagen, maar dan heb je wel kans dat de workshop al vol zit.

Anne de Graaf is mede-oprichter van IT’s – Improschool Tilburg. Zij is opgeleid tot dramatherapeut en werkt als dramadocent op een middelbare school. Daarnaast is ze als Anne Travel Foodie reis- en foodblogger en werkt ze vanuit die hoedanigheid ook als presentatrice.
Anne begon in 2006 met improviseren bij Buiten Bereik in Nijmegen en later bij easylaughs in Amsterdam, waar ze zowel lessen gaf als voorstellingen speelde en bij die laatste groep altijd in het Engels. Ook is ze onderdeel van het internationale improvisatienetwerk Ohana en stond zij op internationale podia in o.a. Kopenhagen, Barcelona en Tallinn. In Tel Aviv speelde ze zelfs een scene in het Hebreeuws. Door deze ervaringen is haar fascinatie voor spelen met verschillende talen (juist als je die taal niet goed spreekt) ontstaan.

This workshop is suitable for all languages, hence we're also explaining everything in English below.
Besides the courses at the Cusushuis and the shows at the LocHal Library, IT's Improschool Tilburg also organizes improv theater workshops. In this next workshop we're going to play with languages.

Yes, tu tambien can spelen avec languages! With this workshop we're going to see how we can improvise scenes if we can't use our native language. We'll see what it can bring if you don't have the comfort of your language in a scene so that we can gather new insights. Play a scene in French when you only know 3 words in French for example. You'll see that, besides it being hilarious, you'll also get more out of the scenes. And it's a great way to step out of your comfort zone and meet new people.

Anne de Graaf is the co-founder of IT's - Improschool Tilburg. She 7is a trained drama therapist and works as theater teacher at a high school. Besides that she's a travel and food blogger under the name Anne Travel Foodie and also does hosting jobs.
Anne started improv in 2006 with Buiten Bereik in Nijmegen and joined easylaughs in Amsterdam after that, where she played weekly shows and thought courses, all in English. She's also a member of european improv network Ohana and played at international stages in a.o. Copenhagen, Barcelona, Tallinn and Tel Aviv. She even played a scene in Hebrew in Tel Aviv. Because of these experiences, she has a fascination for playing with languages (especially the ones you're not good at).

The workshop takes place on Sunday October 8th from 2 to 4pm at the workshop spaces 0.2 and 0.3 at the ground floor of the Lochal Library. Do you already know that you want to participate?
