Join us for a night of Brooklyn anti-folk and DC EDM under the stars and carnival lights of the Shipyard!

Brook Pridemore (they/them) is like Jonathan Richman fronting Sunn O))). Brook has been touring consistently since 2004, playing shows in all 48 continental United States, Canada and fourteen European countries with the likes of Pat the Bunny, Endless Mike and the Beagle Club, Toby Goodshank (of the Moldy Peaches), Rent Strike and Myles Bullen, Ceschi, Sage Francis, Mischief Brew, Crazy and the Brains, The Ergs!, Teenage Halloween and Secret Cutter. Their songs have appeared on compilations alongside The Max Levine Ensemble, Kimya Dawson and Pig Destroyer. Three Brook Pridemore songs have appeared on the “weather” segment of the Welcome to Night Vale podcast.

Safety Bear (he/him) is an independent Hi-NRG electronic artist who weaves together pulsing dance beats and immersive atmospheres with subject matter typically alien to the dance floor. Safety Bear’s energetic live performances and studio recordings deliver original Hi-NRG bangers (and the occasional re-imagined dance classic) via the intriguing guise of a neurotic (and slightly injured) teddy bear.

The Shipyard is a DIY donation-based venue in Silver Spring with donations being split between the artists and Abodes Joy a local non-profit that trains women, nonbinary folx and transgender people in home repair to build skills, confidence and community.
