Soft Tissue Management around Dental Implant with Dr. Michael Danesh-Meyer
About this Event

Overview:

The quality and quantity of the peri-implant soft tissues is important to ensure optimal aesthetic result around dental implants, as well as ensuring long-term peri-implant health. In this seminar, Dr. Michael Danesh-Meyer will explore how the gingival biotype can influence treatment outcomes with dental implants. We will review different surgical protocols available to improve the gingival biotype and the timing of such procedures relative to implant placement surgery.

• Clinical evaluation and treatment planning considerations of soft tissues around dental implants

• Indications for soft tissue augmentation around dental implants

• How to enhance soft tissue quality and quantity using autogenous graft and various soft tissue substitutes.

• Timing of soft tissue surgery relative to implant placement
Meet your Speaker:

Dr. Michael Danesh-Meyer BDS, MDS, MRACDS (perio)


Dr. Danesh-Meyer completed his Bachelors Degree in Dental Surgery and Masters in Degree in Periodontology from University of Otago, New Zealand. He has been involved in preclinical and clinical research involving GTR/GBR, rhBMP-2 & dental implants and authored numerous articles and lectured both nationally and internationally. In 2000 he established the Institute of Dental Implants & Periodontics and the Auckland Clinical Training Centre in Auckland, New Zealand. Dr. Danesh-Meyer is a Member of the Royal Australasian Collage of Dental Surgeons, American Academy of Periodontology, Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, an ITI Fellow, Co-director for Tufts University Dental Implant Mini-residency program and is actively involved in teaching periodontics and implant dentistry.
