Prerequisites: ITEC Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology This ITEC Diploma in Massage meets national occupational standards and is recognised by EMBODY, Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNCH)
Upon completion of this course, you will be a professional massage therapist and will be able to gain insurance to practice upon the general blic and professional memberships.
By the end of the course, you will:
- Provide a professional massage treatment to a client
- Conduct a professional consultation
- Devise a treatment programme
- Understand contraindications and how to adapt a treatment for specific conditions
- Understand essential anatomy and physiology for body massage, including muscles and skeleton
- Be able to adapt a treatment for a range of conditions and outcomes
- Provide appropriate aftercare advice
- Upon completion of the course, you will be able to practice in a number of different settings:
- In your own private practice, as a self-employed practitioner
- In a salon, health club, spa or hotel
- In the NHS, hospice or other healthcare setting
Length: 7 days
Times: 9:30am – 5:00pm
Cost: £770.00 + external examination fee (£140)
You will be required to attend a practical examination date to be arranged
Your Massage course will also include Awards in Infection Prevention, Business Practice, Principles and Practice of Complementary Therapies and the optional unit Healthy Eating for Complementary Therapies
