TC level Outdoor first aid with optional paediatric add on. We will have some time indoors but the plan is to spend most of the time rolling around outside having fun; no slide shows here!
This course is perfect for outdoor instructors, forest school leaders, anyone involved in the DOE and anyone who loves spending time outdoors.
The course is a 16 hour course
9.00- 17.30 each day.
Topics include; roles & responsibilities, dealing with collapse (with and without breathing), choking, bleeding, shock, major illnesses, torso and limb injuries, environmental effects, heat and cold injuries, using first aid kit, outdoor specific scenarios and outdoor incident management, answering queries such as when or how to remove boots, helmets and looking after a casualty for some hours.
This qualification is designed to provide outdoor incident management skills.
£145 per person including all instruction, certification and first aid manual. £20 extra to add paediatric certificate.
