Welcome to the Italic Variations Calligraphy Workshop! Join us at East Hardwick Village Hall, Pontefract for a day filled with creativity and fun. This in-person event will dive into the beautiful world of calligraphy, exploring various styles and techniques to help you enhance the Formal Italic script.
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned calligrapher, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to add a touch of elegance to their writing. Those who have practiced the italic script already will probably get the most from this workshop.
Please bring as much of the following equipment if you can:-
- Soft pencils (B2 to B5)
- Fibre tip pens (nib sizes 005 to 08)
- Non waterproof ink
- Dip pens (pen holders and variety of nib sizes)
- Ruling pen
- Any other pens, pencils, tools, fountain pens, felt-tips, brushes, ball points or whatever you want to try to create some interesting italics.
- Cartridge paper (Size A3). Please rule lines in readiness for the workshop to save time. Line up in portrait. Line spaces on the paper to vary between 5mm up to 2.5 cm.
