Learn another technique for making gourmet Macaron cookies! You are probably familiar with the French Macaron recipe taught at the Flour Pot by Jill Kocian.
In this class you will learn a different technique, the Italian method!
The main and biggest difference between French and Italian macarons is the meringues used to create them.
French macarons use a French meringue that is made using uncooked egg whites. Italian macarons are made using simple syrup and egg whites that are cooked.
In this hands-on class, you will work together to mix the batter, bake, and fill the cookies with flavored buttercream frosting. You will go home with a box of cookies to impress your friends and family!
