Join us at Justice Page Middle School on Tuesday, February 10 for a captivating live event. Dr. Lehman, the author of a 2024 book about Eliza Winston, will share the story of Eliza's escape from enslavement while being kept by her enslavers on the shores of Lake Harriet and the Mississippi River. Her courage and resilience will inspire and move you, and learning about local upstanders in 1860 helps provide a roadmap for us 165 years later.
