It Came From a Closet is a clothes swap fundraiser event presented by CanBead Southland, a charity who provide free creative therapy services to people experiencing illness, trauma and loss.
Come & experience firsthand this popular recycled fashion fundraiser and indulge in some girly fun with your whānau, friends or colleagues.
How does It Came from a Closet work?
Stage One
-First step is the spring clean. Get busy in the wardrobe, clear out the closets full of garments and accessories that are no longer used or loved
-Pop your collections into recycle bags – the standard supermarket type, up to a maximum of 3
-All clothes, shoes, boots, hats, belts, bags, scarves, gloves, jewellery & accessory items in good condition welcome (no nightwear, activewear, swimwear or underwear please)
Stage Two
-From Monday 18 August – Friday 5 September, drop bags at Compleat Wellness 24 Windsor St Invercargill, Open hours Mon-Fri 8am-6pm|Sat 9am-4pm|Sun 9am-3pm
-Please follow the instructions at the drop off so we can track who has dropped clothes and you can later reclaim your recycle bag/s to refill at the event

-Covers entry fee to the It Came from a Closet event
-Payment prior to the event is a must
Stage Three
-It Came from a Closet Event - Southland Women's Club Invercargill, Saturday 13 September 1.30-4pm
-Doors open at 1pm to reclaim your recycle bags ready for shopping
-Official welcome & spot prizes announced & shopping commences at 1.30pm
-Peruse, select and try on pre-loved fashion items & refill your original recycle bags
-Colour Advisor & Make-Up Artist on-hand for queries & support
-Continuous afternoon tea provided
This event is all about enjoyment, relaxing & shopping in good company, without the worry of handling money on the day. Each persons' experience will be different & you may find a few key treasures or 3 bags full to keep.
