MANCHESTER, NH – On Thursday, September 25th, 2025, Slam Free Or Die - Poetry Open Mic & Slam continues its popular open mic poetry series at Stark Brewing Company. This week, there will be a special event: IT'S NOT THE YEARS, IT'S THE MILEAGE - celebrating 20 years of Slam Free or Die! About the event:
20 years of Slam Free or Die! It's a lot to celebrate. So instead of doing the normal open mic and feature/slam, this show will have a special format. The night will feature a showcase of poets from across all 20 years of Slam Free or Die's history and a shortened open mic, with sign-ups open exclusively to new and first time readers. The showcase will include specially selected poets who have helped define what Slam Free or Die was and would become returning to the mic for a retrospective of two decades of amazing writing and performance!
About Slam Free Or Die - Poetry Open Mic & Slam:
Slam Free Or Die @ Stark Brewing Company is a series of open mic nights for poets and spoken-word artists every Thursday night in Manchester, NH. There is an open mic every night and poetry slams are also held several times a month. Doors open and sign-ups begin at 7pm with open mic beginning at 8pm. Featured poets and slams follows the open mic. Come and enjoy the delicious food and beverages at Stark Brewing Company! There is a $3-$5 sliding scale cover charge. Commercial Street in Manchester, NH. There is plenty of free parking at the rear of the building (facing the river) and you can feel free to use the entrance on that side.
