A rare chance to experience a double bill by visionary animator Don Hertzfeldt, pairing his latest short ME with the modern animated classic IT’S SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY.
The evening opens with ME, Hertzfeldt’s newly released musical odyssey exploring humanity, technology, and the strange ways we retreat into ourselves. It is followed by IT’S SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY, his extraordinary experimental animated feature, a surreal, funny and devastating portrait of a stick figure called Bill as he navigates memory, identity, mortality and the limits of the mind. Widely regarded as one of the most powerful hour long films ever made, it remains a completely singular cinematic experience on the big screen.
