We are bringing back It’s Giving! Join us for a potluck that puts away harmful Thanksgiving narratives that erase our Indigenous siblings and instead come and share a meal, and learn from Kansas City native, Chef Pyet DeSpain (via a special video for us!) about her new cookbook, “Rooted in Fire: A Celebration of Native American and Mexican Cooking.” Thanksgiving is a week that often glosses over genocide and celebrates whiteness and this will be our chance to do it a little differently. Come learn about Chef Pyet’s Roots, share a meal, enter to win Chef Pyet’s cookbook in a drawing, and have some fun!
