About this Event
We cordially invite you to join us in celebrating our vibrant and loyal community, and to show lots of sincere love to our masjid at ISWVβs Annual Fundraiser:
The Prophetic Legacy: Building Empowered Communities Through Advocacy
Our inspiration is drawn from two timeless sources: the Seerah of the Prophet ο·Ί, a model of justice, mercy, and service, and the enduring spirit of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s, which transformed society through courage, advocacy, and collective action. Just as the Prophet ο·Ί uplifted his community with compassion and resilience, and just as civil rights leaders stood for dignity and equality, we too are called to embody that legacy in our time.
At ISWV, this means:
- Rooting our vision in Seerah, ensuring our actions reflect faith, justice, and unity.
- Drawing strength from movements for justice, recognizing that advocacy and sacrifice can transform hearts, communities, and nations.
- Building empowered communities today, where every voice matters, and where faith inspires action that leads to equality, dignity, and belonging.
This theme invites every attendee to recognize that we are heirs of both a Prophetic legacy and a broader human legacy of justice β called to continue the work of empowerment, advocacy, and service for generations to come.
