Join us for our Issue 115 launch, My Formative Queers: Stories of the Music Videos that Made Us Queer, a special dossier edited by Patrick Kelly and Stuart Richards.From university professors to national treasures, this vibrant collection of essays and personal stories celebrates the music videos that shaped the authors queer identities, future lives and practices, while advocating for greater recognition of these short music-driven films as art forms in their own right.
We launch our latest edition at Miscellania on Wednesday the 5th of November with a showcase of iconic music videos that celebrate queer joy and community, followed by a panel discussion with My Formative Queers’ Patrick Kelly, Cerise Howard and Stayci Taylor.
Our formative queers are here to remind us why the music video matters, and that it is more vital than ever to “turn up the volume and dance”.
