This is the SECOND session of this new series!
This training series will look at kata application and bunkai in a Karate Jutsu and Martial Science lens. Most techniques can be found in all systems, so all styles and martial artists are welcome to join and participate! This series will incorporate key concepts of Martial Science, such as fundamentals, Players to the Game, body mechanics, pressure points, and more!
Each session will look at a variety of techniques from a kata along with practical, real-life applications of those movements. By incorporating these principles, you may find a new perspective on how to interpret movements you have been practicing for years. A different kata will be looked at per session with the Isshin-Ryu katas being used as a base to find the techniques to explore and take a deeper look at.
Sessions are open to all ages and ranks. However, the material being covered is best suited for those who have some foundation in martial arts. This will be hands-on training with several instructors available to answer questions as in depth as you would like.
Registration is $50 per session. A post will be made when online prepayments are available. Only cash or money order payment at the door will also be available. Please see posts below for more details about this event.
