Our all-afternoon September 12th special event will be downtown at the Lyric Opera bldg. 4 speakers (Kate Kuehn, Doug Brush, Chris Roberts, & Steve Shelton); 1 topic: the importance of mental health in cybersecurity. Abstract: Presenting, ISSA Chicago’s first of its kind event, Cyber Mental Health Day, to promote the Importance of Mental Health in Cybersecurity. In this four-hour program, the speakers will explore the importance of understanding cyber mental health, managing stress in our personal & professional lives, and learning helpful tips on how to mitigate potential negative impact and/or life altering behaviors. While this is not a formal self-help program, the presentations will focus on the causes of stress, burnout, and the typical challenges a cybersecurity professional experiences and must manage every day.
The speakers will share their observations, their own challenges, struggles, and methods they have adopted to help them keep it all together.
The speakers will run from 1-5PM. A networking reception follows.
