Who/Why should I plan to attend this workshop?
Central Island farmers, land managers, and food growers with an interest in better understanding the unique properties of their soils.
This workshop will introduce the foundations of soil fertility management from sampling in the field to best practices for integrating the tools of soil laboratory analysis with soil management decision making. The workshop structure will combine an interactive farm-classroom session with field demonstrations on sampling and soil texturing.
Registered participants will be eligible for a complementary soil laboratory analysis.
