To kick off the holidays “tastefully,” Island SPACE Caribbean Museum presents the fourth annual Rum Cake and Caribbean Black Cake Fest.
About this Event

Kick off the holiday season with a flavorful celebration! Island SPACE Caribbean Museum, in collaboration with the Caribbean Professionals Network and a lineup of talented South Florida bakers, invites you to indulge in the fourth annual Rum Cake and Caribbean Black Cake Fest on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Savor the rich, time-honored flavors of the Caribbean as cake makers serve up samples of traditional rum cake and the beloved black cake—a dark, spiced fruitcake cherished across English-speaking Caribbean islands.

As the first museum fundraiser of the giving season, this festive gathering encourages a $15 donation per person. Guests will enjoy a delightful spread of cake tastings, light holiday beverages, and the sounds of Caribbean holiday music in the air. This is your chance to discover new favorites for your Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts while exploring the museum’s exhibits on Caribbean history, culture, and art.

Bakers in attendance will represent the regions of Antigua & Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Cuba, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Guyana, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, Virgin Islands, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
