We have partnered with the Alameda 10 miler and created a 2 day event with new dates! The Bank of Marin’s Island Running Festival will include a Half Marathon, 10 Mile, 10k (6.2 miles), 5k (3.2 miles), and family fun run (1 mile), so there is a distance for every participant. The various distances will highlight several beautiful areas around the island from Alameda point and it’s many new running trails, the estuary shoreline, USS Hornet and a beautiful venue at the finish.
This event will benefit the Alameda Education Foundation. We hope that all of Alameda comes out to enjoy a day of running, walking, and supporting the community at this marquee Island event.
We are projecting 3,000 runners and another 2,000 spectators that will visit the island and we can’t wait to share all of the running trails, great views and local business on and around the city. The Bank of Marin Island Running Festival will create a 2-day festival of events that will include an expo around Health and Wellness as well as community involvement including local schools, business, charities, and fundraising.
