Quirky band presents debut album with a sound somewhere between soul, jazz and pop.------------------------------------------------------------------
The new band of singer Isla van Hout presents Bring It On, their debut album with compositions by Van Hout, about life, heartache, love for someone else, but especially love for yourself.
In the summer of 2020, Van Hout graduated summa cum laude from the Conservatory of Amsterdam. As part of her master’s degree, the singer lived and studied in Philadelphia at Temple University for six months and was taught by Dick Oatts, John Swana and Terell Stafford. There she focused on writing her own music and discovering her sound. The result is this brand new album, on which Van Hout combines her love for soul and pop with her jazz roots.
