At the outset of the October 7th war, Rotem relocated to the Dead Sea hotels to help establish educational frameworks for evacuees from Sderot. She later worked to raise awareness for the hostages through the Hostages and Missing Families Forum and played an important role in leading an online community of over 14,000 partners, mothers, and sisters of military personnel.
After serving for several months in reserve duty, Tomer wished to return to the Gaza envelope region for volunteering. He started by working on landscape restoration in the evacuated Kibbutzim. Then, he assisted the transition of Kibbutz Beeri from their year-long hotel stay to their temporary housing, until the Kibbutz can be rebuilt.
Together, Rotem and Tomer offer a unique perspective on the strength of individuals and communities amidst ongoing conflict.
